AI, autonomy and inclusion

Artificial intelligence that understands the need before suggesting an adaptation.

TIB DAS combines a local engine, TIB Brain and, when authorised, OpenAI as a fallback. AI assists people; it does not diagnose disability and can never guarantee compliance on its own.

✦

Natural-language copilot

Visitors describe a difficulty by text or voice. The copilot suggests only relevant settings and asks for confirmation before applying them.

✦

Plain-language simplification

Administrative, technical or complex content is rewritten while preserving important facts.

✦

Summary and explanation

Essential information is extracted and difficult passages are explained clearly.

✦

Multilingual translation

Assisted translation into French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili and Hausa, with human review recommended.

✦

Page guidance

Finds an existing heading, link, button or service and moves keyboard focus to it.

✦

Form assistant

Identifies fields and requirements without reading or transmitting passwords or entered values.

✦

Personalised adaptations

Suggests contrast, text size, spacing, reading guide or mask, reduced motion and stronger focus.

✦

Local continuity

Essential settings and simple recommendations remain available when remote AI or the network is unavailable.

Three complementary levels

Included local functions

Profiles, visual settings, navigation, reading, media and basic assistance work in the browser without an AI call.

TIB Brain first

Secure TIB gateway, per-organisation quotas, logs, model selection and central cost control.

OpenAI fallback

The super administrator can allow or prohibit direct OpenAI fallback when TIB Brain is unavailable.

Human-governed AI
No TIB Brain recommendation replaces an audit, testing with disabled people or a regulatory decision. Shared data is minimised and actions are restricted to an approved list of settings.
